It was nearing midnight when Charjer arose from the bed he was sleeping in. He was still in the first aid station, as were Ate, Cueball, Smirk, and Ryoga.
Ryoga lay in a bed over in a corner while Smirk sat leaning against the opposite wall in her sea of dreams. Cueball sat asleep at the table they had dined at earlier in the evening with his head in his hands, showing the way he had fallen into slumber. Ate had passed out under the table and was snoring very loudly while clutching his weapon to his chest. Gohan had left immediately after dinner.
Charjer stood. Restless, he took out his weapon and a small pouch and went out. Once outside, he looked around the street to make sure he was alone, then walked into a small alcove hiding an everlasting flame. He opened the pouch and two orbs floated out and revolved in the air.
After covering his eyes in a blindfold, Charjer drew his weapon and stood in his ready stance. The orbs floated about him and shot projectiles, which he easily deflected.
From the nearby bushes, eyes watched the warrior intently. Each move he made was smooth and graceful, making it seem what he was doing was something he did for a living. After a while, he stopped and withdrew his weapon.
"You can come out," he said. "I know you've been watching me for a while now." Rustling was heard as he removed his blindfold. He opened his eyes and saw in front of him the most beautiful maiden he had ever seen before. She wore a silken garment, colored blue, which was covered with a spectacular design of a wolf pack.
"Wow," he said, marveling at her beauty. She giggled. Charjer cleared his throat and regained his composure. "Um," he started. "Uh, hi, my name is...," he trailed off. She waited patiently.
After a while, she said, "What?"
"My name is..." The ending came out mumbled.
"Who?" she asked.
Charjer opened up his pouch and the orbs flew in. Feeka feeka. "Charjer." He paused for a second. "Nice to meet you."
She smiled. "Kechara." He smiled back.
"That's a beautiful name," he replied. He saw her blush.
"I have to leave now," she told him. "I hope to see you again."
"As do I." She brushed his arm lightly as she moved past him in effervescence. She turned, looked back at him, smiled, waved, and in the blink of an eye, she was gone.
