Cirion looked pleased. Charjer and Kechara's training was finally complete. Their appearances had been altered. All that was needed were new names.

"Why can't we just use the ones we have now?" asked Charjer.

"That's your name from your previous life," answered Cirion. "You have begun a new one, so you need a new name to go along with it."

Charjer thought for a moment. He looked out the library's window and saw some white ash floating by before speaking. Kechara placed a hand on his shoulder. He looked at her and nodded. "Very well, then. From here on, I will be called Azrael."

"And I shall be called Lucia," added Kechara.

"Fitting names," they heard Styx say from a darkened corner of the library, "for a new beginning."

"It's time to make the announcement then," said Miphon. Styx nodded and everyone found themselves in the first aid station.

A bright light shone through the entrance that caused everyone to stop what they were doing. Styx, Miphon, and Cirion appeared and the sisters got down on their knees and bowed. Charjer and Kechara's former companions had stood up when they appeared. Cloaked in invisibility, they looked at them all as Cirion addressed everyone. Charjer didn't hear a word he said until he was almost finished speaking.

"...your newest gods, Azrael and Lucia," he heard Cirion say, which broke him of his trance. He and Lucia made themselves visible to everyone and smiled.

"Greetings everyone," said Azrael. Lucia remained silent but tipped her head slightly.

"That is all," said Miphon before disappearing in a swirl of black smoke. Styx had disappeared silently without the notice of anyone before Azrael and Lucia had shown themselves and Cirion burst into a hundred black doves after Miphon had disappeared.

The new gods lingered for a moment longer before Azrael turned himself into white ash, which slowly dissipated into nothingness and Lucia silently disappeared from view.

Ate looked at Cueball and said, "You don't suppose....?" Everyone else wondered the same thing.
