The group rushed forward around Charjer with Kechara staying back with him. They dodged ice shards left and right. Sven reached the Ice Witch with hundreds of tiny ice shards in his arms, but was flung back by the Ice Witch's magic.

The others tried as well, but were flung back, too.

Gohan made his approach and leaped high in the air with his sword raised above him. As he finished his arc, he saw a large icicle form before the Ice Witch. It flew towards him, skewering him through the chest and planted him on the ceiling above. He dropped his weapon and his body vaporized.

Gowrie stood and cackled once again. "Do you see warriors? Do you see?" she asked. "No one can defeat me!"

She stepped forward a few steps and put her hands in the air. "Darbonne shall now fall!"

As she was talking, a long knife flew at her back that stabbed her through the heart. She screamed in pain as she staggered back and forth. The group looked on in amazement.

"By Alith," breathed Ryoga.

A shadowy figure rose behind the Ice Witch. In one swift motion, he brought his hand, armed with a dagger, across her throat and slit it. Light blue blood spilled out before her body became frozen in a large block of ice. The block shattered as her voice echoed through the cavern.

"You have not seen the last of the Witch of Ice Darbonne! I shall destroy you all!"
