Epilogue

It had been a week since the whole incident began. Princess Ming was happy that her sister had returned safe and sound. Princess Xiaoyu was crowned as the Empress of China. That had been three days ago. She had invited all the people that had helped her to China for a banquet. They had already begun to arrive. Tiffany Svendish had been among the first to arrive. Bella Donna and Rose Bacon arrived together.

Dinner soon came and everyone had gathered in the banquet hall. Empress Xiaoyu had welcomed everyone and told them to have a wonderful time. There was one thing on her mind that night and every night since she had returned: Kusomaki Furikake. She wondered what had happened to him. She didn't believe that he had died.

One of the guards approached her and whispered into her ear. "Empress, there is a guest who wishes to speak with you."

"Send him in here," she replied.

"Yes, Your Majesty." He walked out of the banquet hall. A few minutes later, he returned with the visitor who was covered in a cloak and a large hat, the type of hat you would see a travelling ronin wear.

The guest kneeled down and said, "Your Majesty. I apologize for interrupting your...banquet."

"It's quite all right," she replied. "But please tell me, who are you?"

The cloaked figure stood and removed his hat, pulling it downward over his face and then to his side. The Empress gasped. She mouthed the name Kusomaki. She got up, ran around the table she was seated at, and embraced him. He did the same to her.

"I thought you had died," she told him.

"I did," he replied. She looked up at him with tears in her eyes. "But I had you to guide me back."

The banquet hall erupted in celebration. Tiffany, Bella, Rose, and the rest of the guests and guards cheered as Kusomaki and Xiaoyu kissed.
