Chapter 11

Aiyayai! La Policia!

After Stalin had left, Pina Sausage climbed down from her hiding place and made her way to Rose Bacon. She looked up suddenly and gasped.

"Who's there?" Pina stepped out of the shadows in front of her.

"Hello. My name is Pina Sausage. I saw everything from up there," Pina told Rose, pointing up to the rafters. "So, you're an old acquaintance of Stalin, huh?" Rose nodded and looked down. "Not gonna talk to me, huh? Well, I guess I'll just have to find Stalin on my own."

Pina got up and walked toward the door. "Wait," said Rose. Pina stopped and turned around to look at her. "What do you want with Stalin?"

Pina thought for a while. "Do you remember that girl that was with him?" Rose nodded. "She's the daughter of the Emperor of China."

"The Emperor of China? He's dead. It was on the news last night. They said he died of a stroke."

"Hmm. Well, either way, she was kidnapped three days ago. I sneaked aboard Stalin's plane earlier today before he took off from Mexico and followed him here in secret. I knew right away there was something about him that seemed wrong."

"Did you find out what it was?" asked Rose.

"Yes. I found out he was trying to conquer the world. We are all just little pawns in a huge game of Risk."

"So what are we going to do?"

Pina walked over to the couch next to the chair and sat down. "There may be a few people who will be able to help us. But first, tell me how you know him."

"He helped me out a few years back," said Rose. "He helped me get my career started. In a way, I kind of owe him for what he did for me. Then one day, he just picked up and left, leaving me by myself. I didn't know what to do. I was scared. So I decided I should try to things for myself. And this is where I'm at in my life now. I'm a pop vocal superstar because I wanted to be one."

As she finished talking, Rose and Pina heard a commotion from the outside. Seconds later, Kusomaki, Tiffany, and Bella entered the room. Pina recognized two of them and rose to greet them. "Hello Mr. Kusomaki. Miss Svendish. My name is Pina Sausage. I was the one driving the limo."

Kusomaki raised his light saber. "So are you here to stop us?" he asked.

"No, I'm here to help." Kusomaki looked over at Tiffany and Bella, then looked back at Pina. He turned his light saber off.

"Very well. How do you know my name?"

"Mr. Stalin talked about you during the entire car ride. He sounded like a broken record. And that Mr. Dover. He's harmless and ruthless at the same time. He doesn't attack from the front. I can tell," said Pina.

Kusomaki nodded in agreement. "Yes, he is a snake. Allow me to introduce my companions. This is Tiffany Svendish and Bella Donna."

Pina bowed slightly in greeting. Gesturing to Rose, she said, "This is Rose Bacon."

"Rose Bacon?" exclaimed Tiffany.

"Do you know who I am?" Rose asked.

"Yes. You're famous in Sweden. Your album hit double platinum there. Everyone can't wait for your world tour next year."

Rose smiled. "Okay," said Pina. "I wish to help you in stopping Stalin. I believe Miss Bacon has some vital information about where he'll be and when." They all looked at her.

"I think everyone would listen better if they all sat down," said Rose. Everyone took a seat. "Okay. As I was telling Pina a little while ago, Stalin and I have a little history. But, about the meeting. He'll be coming here tomorrow at one p.m. This is where he keeps his nuclear warheads."

Tiffany and Bella gasped. "He keeps his nuclear warheads here, in this place?" asked Kusomaki. Rose nodded.

"They're under the building. There's a switch in this room that opens up a door to get down there. It's behind the curtain over there," she explained, pointing directly across of the position where she was sitting.

"Want to go have a look?" asked Tiffany.

"Yeah," replied Bella. She got up and moved the curtain to the side, finding the switch. She lifted it and a door opened to the left of it. She started to descend, and the others followed her one by one. As they descended, the stairs lit up. When they arrived at the bottom, the room was illuminated with a soft glow. As they looked on, they saw unending rows of nuclear warheads ready to launch.

"We must stop him here," said Kusomaki. "If we do not, the world may not survive."
