The group had returned to the first aid station and were sitting at the table they usually occupy.
"Do you remember anything else about the dream?" asked Ryoga. Charjer looked at him and shook his head. Ryoga thought for a moment. "Well, dreams here in the land of Mordor are not to be taken lightly. We should investigate this." Everyone agreed with his suggestion.
"So where do you suggest we start?" asked Smirk.
Gohan walked up to Charjer and put his hand on his shoulder. "Think Boran would know?" he asked.
Charjer's eyes lit up. "He might. Nothing gets past him without him knowing about it." Gohan nodded.
"Boran?" Ate said with a rising intonation. "Oh, your old master."
Gohan and Charjer nodded. "He's the user of an ancient magic, said to have been used by the ancients of the first age."
"Do you know how long the journey is to your village from here?" asked Cueball.
Gohan spoke up. "About a day. Maybe less. If we leave now, we might be able to get there by nightfall." Ryoga nodded.
"Let's go," said Charjer. Everyone gathered their equipment and waited outside, marveling at the giant rainbow that had touched the floating island of Darbonne.
"Quickly!" yelled Ryoga. "Before it disappears!" He ran in the direction of the rainbow with the others in hot pursuit.
"Where are we going?" asked Charjer to no one in particular.
"To the rainbow," everyone except Ryoga responded. Ryoga rounded a corner with everyone trailing. As Charjer rounded the corner, a dog foaming at the mouth jumped at him. He ducked just in time and the dog slammed into the nearby wall.
He continued his way on the path, trailing everyone with the dog in hot pursuit. He sensed the dog preparing to lunge, so he grabbed his weapon, drew open one blade, spun, and sliced the top half of the dog off, causing it to land with a thud as it finished its arc. Charjer withdrew his weapon and replaced it under his belt and followed his comrades once again.
Ryoga arrived at the point where the rainbow touched the land and began scaling. One by one, each of the travelers followed him up as they arrived at their destination. Charjer arrived last and as he began scaling the rainbow, it began disintegrating under him. He made it to the top just as it disappeared.
He breathed heavily and nodded at the group to let them know he was okay. He looked at Ryoga. "So, what now?"
"Now, we wait till dusk," he replied.
"What happens at dusk?"
"You'll see man," Gohan told him. Charjer nodded.
