"Why are we starting here?" asked Charjer.

"They might have seen the locket," said Ryoga, answering his question. "Besides, the owner of the shop is an old friend of mine."

A bell rang as they all entered. The shopkeeper looked up from his books and with a glitter in his eye, he greeted everyone.

"Ryoga!" he exclaimed. "Long time no see!"

"Entiz! It's good to see you again!" Ryoga said exuberantly.

"How can I help you today?" inquired Entiz.

Smirk, Ate, and Cueball stood behind Ryoga as he talked with the shopkeep. Kechara, Charjer, Min, and Kaerith were looking at the items on the shelves. Kechara noticed that a particular item was glowing.

"What's this?" she asked out loud as she picked it up.

Entiz looked over to see what she had. "Ah, that's a locket," he said. "It started doing that when... Why, when this young lady came in last." He pointed toward Kaerith.

Smirk pulled out her dagger and growled, "See, I told you!!"

Kaerith's eyes glowed and everyone gasped. She ran towards Kechara and grabbed the locket out of her hand. Charjer moved towards her, trying to protect Kechara, but was smacked to the opposite end of the room.

Kaerith cackled. The others watched as she vanished before their eyes.
