Kaerith and Kechara had arrived on the Island of Angelesey just before sunrise and had made their way to the only known settlement there. After a brief meeting with the village council, they had been assigned a guide who would take them to the site of the recent slaying.

It took an hour to reach the site.

"Here it is," said Kiev, their guide. Kaerith and Kechara began searching the small area.

"Over here," called Kechara. She had found a piece of cloth hanging on a small branch.

"Where's the body?" asked Kaerith.

"There was none found," answered Kiev.

"And there's blood," observed Kechara. "But there is a strong surge of magic I detect. There's a lot of it."

"Let's follow it," said Kaerith. Kechara nodded and began to lead the way.
