Cueball and company were with Prince Ragnar in the dining room. He had invited the group to eat lunch with him and Cueball more than anxiously agreed as did the mighty hungry Sven.
As they were eating, the castle was rocked by a large boulder. A soldier ran into the room.
"My lord," he exclaimed. "We are under attack. The enemy has set up catapults and siege towers." The Prince sighed.
"It's going to be a long battle. Prepare the men for battle." The soldier nodded and ran out of the room.
"Sir," began Min. "Why are you two fighting, if I may ask?"
The Prince thought for a while before answering. "Do you really want to know?" Everyone nodded, except for Sven. He was famished.
"Well, it began when we were about 12 years old. We were old enough to go hunting on our own by then. On one summer day, we were out, just the two of us, Rutger and myself. A monster, I believe it was called the Bete Noir, attacked my brother and knocked him unconscious.
"I drew my sword and killed it with three stabs. It vanished in thin air right after it breathed its last breath and by the time my brother awoke, he saw me standing over him with my weapon drawn. He thought I attacked him. He's thought so ever since."
"Hmmm," thought Ryoga. He had been quiet up until now. "I may have a way to convince him otherwise." Everyone looked at him, except Sven. He was busy gnawing at a goose leg.
